EditThe EMBL Rome Genetic & Viral Engineering Facility (GAVEF) specialises in the design and engineering of viral vectors including rAAV and lentivirus. Using these customised vectors, we produce, purify and quantitate viral stocks using protocols optimised for each virus type. Varied options are available as to quantity of virus, purification methods and the quantitation methods used. New viruses and serotypes are continuously being added so please contact us with your wish list and we will see if we can help you out.
In addition to these custom-made viral vectors and stocks, we produce a wide range of DNA targeting constructs for genome engineering (for knock-out, knock-in, conditional knock-out etc) and reagents for CRISPR/Cas9.
As such we have a large and growing collection of viral vectors, pre-assembled cassettes, and an extensive genetic engineering toolkit that is available to you and for your projects.
We are here for your viral and genetic engineering needs be it for advice, reagents, design, creation or all of the above.
